Master's thesis

Enquires about writing a master’s thesis on tax law should be sent directly to Professor A. Marantelli by e-mail (adriano.marantelli@unibe.ch). and contain three proposed topics. Please also attach your transcript and CV as well as a copy of a piece of written work (for example a term paper or bachelor’s thesis).

For the formal criteria, please consult the information provided by the Institute of Tax Law (see Master's thesis, only in german)  to supplement the guidelines regarding requirements for a master’s thesis in accordance with Article 23 RSL RW of 21 June 2007 (as at December 15th, 2022).

This process is then followed by a personal interview with Professor A. Marantelli and an academic assistant to, among other things, define the working title of the master’s thesis. The timeframe for the master’s thesis of 15 weeks begins in the following week after the topic has been definitively allocated. Around two to three weeks later, you will be required to send us the provisional plan and literature list. You will then be invited to discuss the documents submitted.
